Our Mission:
In enriching Alaskan lives, it is through traditional values as Alaskan's, Qargi means community hall in Native Alaskan language, the place to socialize in the village. It is in Alaskan cultural traditions to hold social events at the qargi, but this was not the only use of the qargi, it was a place for community members to use and collaborate with others. In the modern world we live in today it is our mission to develop communities throughout Alaska to provide implementations such as, construction of community centers, a place to socialize, local community advocates, and a modernization of the way we interact with local Alaska communities.
The problem communities face today is suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness and domestic violence. Isolation in Alaska is a major cause of suicide, so this initiative in essence brings core traditional values back to communities while mitigating common issues like suicide, by creating a common ground for locals.
Uvva Qargi, is a question asking where is the community gathering?, or here the community gathering.
